Paisajes is a work composed of fragments dyed with natural pigments drawn from fruit and plant waste. Each piece, with its own texture, color, and memory, shapes a sensitive cartography made of transformed scraps and remnants. The work was born from an intimate, material question: What do I do with all these pieces? The answer: turn them into a landscape.
In a gesture of gathering and recomposing, Paisaje explores how we inhabit our fragments, especially those left behind by grief, loss, or pain. Just as plant waste can become color, the broken pieces of what we have lived can be woven into something new. This work invites us to look inward, to recognize the pieces we are made of, and to honor them not as waste, but as fertile matter for imagining other possible landscapes.
