My Practice
My practice emerges from an ongoing curiosity about water, plants, fungi, pigments and the transformations that occur when human and more-than-human processes meet. I work with materials that are alive, ephemeral, regenerative or considered waste, allowing their properties and temporalities to become part of the work.
Through photography, textiles, natural pigments, biomaterials and experimental processes, I create situations in which matter is not simply a medium, but an active participant.
My work asks how we might create without extracting, care without controlling, and inhabit the world through reciprocity rather than separation.

I am interested in the space where art, ecology, material experimentation and care intersect.
My processes are often slow and open-ended. Rather than seeking complete control over a material, I observe, test and collaborate with its behavior: a pigment fades, a fungus grows, a plant leaves a trace, a biomaterial changes with humidity, an image slowly disappears.
These transformations are not failures of the work.
They are part of what the work is.

The Process
Observe
Every process begins with attention to the surroundings: a landscape, a plant, a body of water, a residue, an organism, a memory, or a question. Observing means approaching before intervening — recognizing what is present, what relationships exist, and what stories a material might hold.
I'm not looking to impose a form from the outset, but to let the context guide the project's possibilities.
Gather
I collect materials, images, pigments, residues, stories, and fragments from the surroundings. This gathering aims to be careful and non-extractive: making use of what's available, recovering what has been discarded, and staying attentive to the cycles of materials.
Photography, writing, collecting, and documentation function here as forms of approach and memory.
Experiment
The lab becomes a space of research. I test dyes, pigments, fibers, fungi, microalgae, residues, and biomaterials; I vary proportions, temperatures, timings, and supports.
Error isn't a failure of the process, but information. Each trial helps me better understand a material's capacities and limits.
Listen
I work with living materials, sensitive to conditions I can't fully control. Humidity, light, time, temperature, microorganisms, and decay all take part in transforming the pieces.
So the process isn't only about doing something with a material — it's about observing what the material does with me and with the work.
Give back
The result returns to the territory and to the people. A work can become an image, an installation, an object, a workshop, a conversation, or a new question.
This giving back seeks to ensure the process doesn't end in the production of an object, but instead generates knowledge, memory, and new relationships.
