This textile installation is a living collaboration with fungal mycelium. It is composed of nine hand-woven pieces in wool and cotton, interlaced with one another. The work materializes a performative gesture in which the act of weaving becomes a meditative exercise of patience and repetition, transcending the material to become a metaphor for connection: joining fibers, ideas, and affects.

Each woven piece constitutes a living territory, where the human and the more-than-human affect one another and create a new shared web. This interspecies encounter raises the possibility of inhabiting in reciprocity: the textile hosts the mycelium, while at the same time being embraced by it.

The final installation — a large web formed by the union of the small woven pieces already intervened by the mycelium — seeks to make the invisible visible: the silent web of relationships that sustains life. What seems imperceptible becomes present in the form of a living tapestry that speaks of interdependence, cooperation, and interspecies co-creation.

The project reflects on inhabiting in an expanded sense: inhabiting as reciprocal affectation, as allowing oneself to be transformed by other beings. The patience of the manual gesture, the slow time of fungal growth, and the very materiality of the textiles converge in a poetic and political exercise that proposes new ways of relating to what surrounds us, reminding us that we are part of a larger web.
